Legal Reform For Marijuana Charges and Prisoners

This GoFundMe account is being set up to help release prisoners for NON-VIOLENT MARIJUANA OFFENSES AND TO CLEAN UP THE RECORDS OF ANYONE WITH A MARIJUANA RELATED OFFENSE. The money will be donated to  Dunaskiss Consulting and Development. The new Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has shown support in a set of bills that would release prisoners with LOW-RISK MARIJUANA offenses. House Bill 6508 and SB 1200 would not only release prisoners, but also expunge any prior or current convictions including possession and distribution. Several other states have enacted similar expungement laws. 

The State of Michigan could save over $100 MILLION per year if the Department of Corrections were to release 2000 people for marijuana offenses. These funds should be going to our schools and supporting the younger generations and focusing on NOT imprisoning individuals for harmless crimes. NO ONE should bear a lifetime record for a plant that is now legal.
