Princess Leia’s War to find Home

Last night, I read a message on Nextdoor posted by a sweet neighbor about a dumped dog camped out at a house up for sale all day. I couldn’t leave her by herself all night so I asked for more info, and we ended up getting her. After some chicken, rice and eggs, and being shampooed 3 times (yes 3!), she is comfy, clean, and safe. She seems young and it looks like she had puppies recently; I wouldn’t be surprised if she was dumped after being bred. She has definitely been running around for a while given how dirty she is and her cement sores on her arms and legs. We are calling her Leia, short for Princess Leia because we took her in on May the 4th.

As most people know, I already have 3 rescue dogs of my own so keeping her isn’t an option. We are going to file her as found and are willing to hold her during her stray hold until a rescue can take her in. 100% of her donations will be for her supplies and vet care, and the rest of it will go towards whichever rescue will take her in and formally adopt her out. Please help Leia’s chances of finding her forever home and helping me keep her during her stray hold! Having a large donation to send to a rescue will definitely heighten her chances of being taken in. She is incredibly sweet and definitely overwhelmed but thankful.
