PRINCE MURAL PHOENIX AZ by Maggie Keane

Hello Friends!

We set this page up to help raise some funding for our friend and local Mural Artist, Maggie Keane .

100% of these funds are going directly to the Artist.

THE MURAL IS OFFICIALLY FINISHED, BUT WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!

Maggie Keane's Prince Tribute Mural is located on 15th Avenue/Roosevelt/Grand intersection. On the Rodriguez Boxing Gym building on the corner. We are still raising fund for our dear friend to help compensate for supplies and time spent on this beautiful masterpiece.  She did this completely on her own with no sponsorship or coorporate funding.
Thank You in advance for sharing and helping spread the word.

We really appreciate everyone's help.

Kind Regards,
Cocoe (Grand Avenue Records)

Maggie Keane

Born in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Holmdel, NJ

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art from the University of Arizona specializing in painting and drawing, and have been a court sketch artist for various media outlets for 40 years. I worked as a billboard and theater set painter, and have produced  many murals both interior and exterior. I illustrated exhibit signage for the Phoenix Zoo, and for the Hassayampa River Preserve Rest Stop in Wickenburg, AZ. Other projects include restoration of the Le Grande Carrousel in Lake Havasu City, AZ, design and consultant for the first restoration of the Encanto Carousel in 1988 in Phoenix AZ, and later the physical restoration of the same carousel.

I specialize in portraiture, both human and animal.

1990s: I was airbrushing pictorial advertising on city of Phoenix buses before wrap technology was available.  I was the first place winner of the International Wrap Artists competition for artists who have used the paintable window film invented by the Contra Vision company. My entry was the Charles Barkley city bus.

I was hired by a local circus to paint their vehicles which is where I met my husband. The following six years were spent traveling the U.S. and several foreign countries as a performer and artist. During this time I restored an original Ringling Brothers Circus entryway.

I traveled to China with the World Academy for the Future of Women in 2017 to lead a class at Sias University in painting a mural.
