Press Play 4 Kid’s provides financial assistance for sports to underprivileged youth grades K-12. Sports as an outlet www.PressPlay4kids.org develops motivation, discipline and leadership which are all benchmark traits for developing a community of young ambitious adults.
We also believe Hunger isn't seasonal, which is why our year-round food pantry gets so much attention.
Every Friday at at 2:00pm we distribute food to the community through our food pantry at Lion’s park in Oxnard California.
Week after week we have to ask various volunteers to use their vehicles to meet us at the distribution center, load them up with the food and transport it to the location. Doing this is a major hardship for us.
Often times there are schedule conflicts and we fall sort of space and have to limit the food we are able to transport. Thus not being able to help all of the families that show up and dealing with that possibility that a child and there family may go without that week.
Press Play 4 kid’s is in desperate need of a van. We need about $4,000 to purchase a used Van or mini Van. This would really help us transport food more efficiently and effectively.
