Chewpe's Change

Hi, I am Christina Bagley. I am a sophomore at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor studying business. I am an animal lover and have been blessed with Chewpe. Now I know he isn't the prettiest dog, but please hear me out:

Chewpe arrived on my door step on January 25th at around 9pm. I brought him in out of the cold and did the best I could in caring for him until I could take him to the vet.  I quickly learned how  sweet and loving he is. Even though he was lost and scared, Chewpe has not shown any aggressive behaivor to people, even when I poked and prodded his sore gums to inpect his condition.

Chewpe's hobbies include sleeping, cuddling, and subjecting me to his bad breath. He loves being held and snuggles are what he is best at. Becasue he is blind he does not wander or explore. Rather he has become part of my house decor due to his lack of movement. He is great with cats as he cannot see them, and does not tolerate any bullying from other dogs, 

On January 27th the vet informed me that Chewpe needed dental surgery to remove the teeth that remain so his mouth could heal. He is in a lot of pain and cannot eat properly until the issues are resolved. The maximum cost of the detal surgery and medications will be around $900 if all goes well. I am only asking slightly above that for emergency funds.

All money gained from this campaign wil go towards vet bills and future care of Chewpe. 

The vet said he still had plenty of life to live and is willing to help us out in making sure that Chewpe receives the best care. It wasn't his choice to be given a bad situation in his life, but I was given Chewpe and I won"t give up on him just yet.
