Stacey's Breast Cancer Medical Fund
Stacey Rinaldi-McDonough is fighting breast cancer for the second time. She was seven years cancer free when she received the frightening news that her cancer had returned, this time as metastatic breast cancer affecting her spine, bones and lungs.
Stacey is a devoted wife to husband Leo, a loving mother to her two beautiful girls, Josie 13 and Nina 11, and a loyal friend to those who know her. She is surrounded with amazing support from her family, friends, coworkers and the community and is so grateful for the outpouring of support that she has received thus far.
To know Stacey is to love her. She is intelligent and funny and passionate about life. With help from her loving father, she has researched and educated herself on every possible healing treatment available to her and each day she is devoted to her healing practices. She is under the care of a naturopath and receives acupuncture treatments along with supplemental medicines.
Currently Stacey is undergoing treatment at Dana- Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. This ongoing treatment has shown positive results in patients like Stacey and she is determined to be added to the list of success stories!
Stacey and her family are feeling a huge financial stress due to her many medical bills. This unexpected life twist is not one they were prepared for financially and any donation you are able to provide is greatly appreciated.
Above all Stacey asks for your prayers. Pray for her healing, pray for her courage, pray for her strength and pray for her long and healthy life with her beautiful girls. She is truly and forever grateful for your prayers and support.
Please continue to spread the word, as we know that Stacey's treatments are ongoing. She and Leo are forever grateful, and are already looking for ways to pay it all forward in the near future.
Thank you for proving that together we can make a difference.
Peace and Love,
Leo and I cried our eyes out last night when we saw that the goal set was reached. Then to see more coming in.... incredible! We are so very grateful and feel so blessed that this is happening. My treatment is ongoing and my medical needs are unknown as we move forward, so knowing that we may even be able to start the new year with a little buffer when our huge deducible gets set back to zero brings us such comfort. Thank you from the bottom or hearts. So full of gratitude. Having this financial piece lightened gives my family and I the energy we need to heal.
Peace and Love to you all.
Leo, Josie, Nina and I would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the very generous donations, the prayers, and support. We are so overwhelmed with gratitude. What an amazing network of people we have behind us. We are blessed. Being on this side of health is challenging, however all of your support drives us forward and we hope to pay it forward sometime very soon. We are blown away by the pure goodness of you all. Your support and love is filtering in and I wish we could reach out and hug each and everyone of you!
On another note, I am doing well. I am lucky to be at home with my family and lucky to be in such good care with my team of doctors at Dana Farber and Brigham and Women's in Boston. I am responding to treatment and have been told by my Docs that I will "live a long and healthy life." This, however, will be ongoing treatment as there is no cure.
This fundraiser, my beautiful friend Kristin took on, will help us take on the growing medical expenses that are piling up from my many ongoing medical treatments and procedures. The treatment regime I am on is already groundbreaking and has been super effective for many woman. Currently my program consists of going into Boston at least once a month to have blood work done, at that appointment, I receive an infusion to strengthen my bones and a shot to block my hormones. I am on two targeted therapies which consists of taking pills daily. I had a pleura effusion which needed to be treated with a Pleurx drain. I had that removed 2 and half months after treatment started! The Doctors were very impressed with that! Since then my Lung has looked good. I go back for a lung check up on September 23rd. Again, I have had great success with these treatments and treatments from my naturopath and am confidant I am on the right course! My goal is to donate a portion of the funds raised to research specific to Metastatic Breast Cancer. We will find a way to cure this.
So please keep hope, keep believing, and keep praying. We are making progress. I am lifted by your generosity, love and encouragement. Thank you and bless you all.
Peace and Love
