Help Carl Get Back on His Feet

A very unusual weather system hit Columbia, SC on the evening of October 3rd dumping many inches of rain in  very short period. Low lying areas like those on Gills Creek were flooded and many people had homes and vehicles completely under water. My friend Carl was one of those. The first floor of his house was completely flooded and the second floor was flooded to about 6 feet deep. Most everything in there was completely ruined and his vehicle is totalled. I've set up this page to allow the many friends who've inquired about ways they can help, an avenue to assist him. In recent days, physical labor has been important, but at some point personal posessions will need to be replaced: furniture, clothing, kitchen appliances, and other things. I started this campaign with a rather arbitrary goal of $10,000 and in less than 36 hours over $7000 in donations came in. I've increased the goal to $20,000 since I know that word has barely gotten out and his needs will be great. Please consider helping out a great guy by contributing to this fund!
