Tragically, few of us can say that our lives have not been touched by a loved one, friend, or co-worker suffering from an addiction to drugs or alcohol. Too often this suffering results in sudden loss.
If you have ever felt powerless to find the words or actions to help those suffering before it's too late, please know there is something very concrete you can do.
After completing initial inpatient treatment, many in recovery need a period of stepped down support and treatment in the form of halfway houses and supportive living, working on recovery goals, including vocational and educational skills and gradual return to independent and sober living.
Open Arms Inc. is a provider of both Halfway House and Transitional Housing to those in early recovery in the Hudson Valley, offering a safe and supportive environment to individuals learning to live and thrive drug and alcohol free. While funding is provided in part by state and local agencies, it's operation cannot survive without the generosity of the community it serves.
PLEASE consider making a donation to support the good works of Open Arms Inc.. Whether you can afford $25, $250, or $2,500, your support would be vital to providing this critical misison, quite possibly saving lives.
You may give in your name, anonymously, or in combination in support or memory of someone suffering from addiction.
