Help Keep WVHS Dogs Warm
We have been so humbled by the generosity of our community as you have rallied around us to help our homeless animals. We are now well stocked with blankets to keep our dog and cat kennels warm and cozy. THANK YOU!
You may have read recently, or have seen the news stories, that our boiler system here at the shelter has finally given out and is now beyond repair. A new boiler system has been ordered and should be installed in the first part of the new year. The cost of this unit is a staggering $50,000 - That is a lot of money for a small shelter like ours which means that we will have to work very hard to make that up so that we can continue to strive for positive change and to better serve the people and pets of our community. In order to cover the cost of the boiler we had to take money from our operational funds.

West Valley Humane Society is an open admission animal shelter located in Caldwell, Idaho, servicing the animals of Canyon County. WVHS is a non-profit 501(C)3 and run by a small staff of 19 employees and an abundance of volunteers who donate their time to the animals we serve.
West Valley Humane Society is now under new and impoved leadership and is desperately seeking the financial help of animal lovers from around the world to implement much needed positive change.
Every dollar that is donated to West Valley Humane Society will be used directly to support and care for the nearly 5,500 animals we welcome thru our doors on an annual basis. Your donation will be used to actively spay and neuter, microchip, medically treat animals in distress, prepare each animal for adoption into a forever home, as well as the the development of new programs to further assist the animals and families of Canyon County.
