Aloha & Welcome to Polestar Gardens's official fundraising campaign 2015!
Polestar Gardens is an educational nonprofit (all donations are tax deductible) located on the Big Island of Hawaii. Our core values are ‘Spirit, Community and Lifelong learning’ and we have shared these ideals with many young adults and students of all ages for the past 15 years.
Last year, Hurricane Iselle shredded our beloved community center building, prompting ongoing temporary repairs. Our goal is to completely renovate this essential structure with new, permanent roofing, solar power upgrade, ADA bathroom, a new use permit submittal (to expand our youth programs) and eventually a commercial kitchen.
The Polestar Collaborative is a network of educators, community builders, administrators and visionaries and we are planning many new programs in the coming year that will very much need these improvements. Performance art, Astronomy, Construction Apprenticeships, Wellness and Fitness, Communication Technologies, and ‘Farm to Table Culinary Arts' are just some of the progams being launched soon. Be a part of making this vision a reality!
