My name is Callahan Hereford. Most of you know me as Page. I was Katlyn's partner in the 6th district, and we were classmates at the academy.
Katlyn was tragically killed earlier this week. She was a very close friend to both my wife and I, and we, along with her family and a multitude of friends, are devastated.
As most of you know, untimely funerals can accrue a lot of up front costs unforeseen by the family. I ask your help in offsetting those costs.
All proceeds will be deposited in an account specifically set up for funeral costs, and distributed as needed via a check in my name directly to funeral home, venue, etc. The account has been set up in my wife and I's name, and all funeral costs were paid from an account, also in my name. This fund will reimburse those costs. Katlyn's family will be given any remaining money via cashiers check.
EDIT: Your support has been overwhelming! I cannot thank you all enough, from the bottom of my heart. We have surpassed our goal in less than 24 hours.
As many of you know, Katlyn was very close to all of her nieces and nephews. We have spoken with Katlyn and Tony's family, and have put together a tentative plan for all proceeds that exceed the costs of the funeral. Any additional funds will be put towards a trust that will benefit the children Katlyn loved so much. The specific use will ultimately be the family's decision, but we have all agreed this would be something Katlyn would have wanted.

EDIT 2: As of right now, We appear to have raised enough money to cover at least the costs of this week. I am going to close online donations soon. Anybody who wishes to donate additional money to the family will be able to do so tomorrow at Kutis funeral home. Envelopes have been printed for this purpose.
