JUST KEEP SWIMMING...
Having a child that is chronically ill, places financial strain and burden on families. Often you are choosing between paying a bill, and the life saving medicine you son needs. Even with insurance, asthma medicine is not cheap, and neither are the medical costs, or the time you loose pay from work, to be with your child when they are in the hospital.
We are in danger of not being able to pay our rent this month, and medical costs are continuing to pile up. We are behind on all of our utilities this point, and choosing between order of importance what we can afford to pay. Any little bit helps, just to help us keep our heads above water. Even if it is just a couple bucks for some groceries.
Our Son, Noah has been in and out of the hospital twice this week. He has had a number of ambulance rides to the e.r. and hospital. 4 in total just this week alone! Total this year, 6.
Two weeks, and two hospital stays later, we now hope his medicines are figured out, and he is continues to recover. We are praying no more hospital trips or stays are needed, and that he is finally able to go back to school, and be the energetic happy child that he was, before he got so ill.
I keep thinking back to one of Noah's favorite movies and what advice Dory's parents say to Dory, not unlike advice given by my own...
"What do we do...
...Just keep swimming...
swimming..."
It's the same advice I have been giving Noah. At the hospital you could draw on one of the walls... I drew a Finding Nemo theme on the wall for him. I asked him yesterday what we do when we feel like we no longer can go on.
Noah's reply was, "What do we do, we just keep swimming!"
That's all any of us can do right now...
Just keep swiming like Dory.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS...
Who have been there for us supporting us, we are so thankful. From the late night phone calls at 3am, to the messages on facebook. On the difficult days, it gives us some consolation, knowing we are not alone in our struggle.
