Please Help - Surgery for Atlas

Atlas is the best therapy wonder dog anyone could ask for and we are asking for help to help cover his surgery that he will need to live a better life. He is a 4 1/2 year old American Bulldog but to friends and family, he's just a giant loveable ham. 

Atlas has been a very healthy boy up until 6 months ago. We noticed that his left eye became very puffy and irritated. I thought he may have gotten something in his eyelid so we went to the Vet and they couldn't find anything in his eye or find any obvious cause for the reason as to why his eye was irritated. The Vet did notice that he had an eye infection beginning and we chalked it up to that. We went home and kept an eye on him and gave him his antibiotic and we thought we had solved it. Sadly for Atlas that was not the case. We went back to our Vet and they sent us to an eye specialist and it turned out that Atlas had 'Entropion' and unfortunately the solution is surgery.

'Entropion' also known as 'Inverted Eyelid Disease'.  Entropion is when the eyelid rolls forward/inward. This causes the eyelashes and fur to scratch the eye and do damage to the eye. He's had many eye infections since his Entropion developed because the eyelashes and fur continuously rub against his eye and carry bacteria. The only solution is the surgery. The surgery is fairly non-invasive - The doctors will remove a small portion of Atlas' eyelid that has rolled inward which is also the portion that is causing his eye irritation.


Why we are asking for your help:

Three months ago our family took a financial hardship as my wife was laid off from her job.  Though she has recently found work, our bills got behind and we had to dip in to our Savings to cover the bills and rent of our home.  We have had to put off his surgery once already due to not having the funds.

We are reaching out to you for any help that you can give. For all who do help with this, we will be setting up a YouTube channel so you can see his daily recovery.
