My name is Sarah Quame. I am twenty-two years old. I was born from an American mother and a Ghanaian American father. Unfortunately, my mother was too young to care for me, so I was raised by my paternal grandparents, in their homeland of West Africa, Ghana; where I also became a citizen as well. My time over there was not always pleasant, However, I made the best of it. My grandparent's way of raising me was stern, strong, yet loving.
In Ghana, life was different, yet friendly; with a state of mind of morals and values. Now that I have returned to the states, I would love to fulfill my American Dream of going to College and getting a Bachelors Degree in Biochemistry, but I can't do it without your help. The reason why I would like to become a Biochemist is because I would love to find cures for major illnesses such as: diabetes, cancer, or AIDS. I would use the funds for the following:
Tuition
Books
Stationery
Transportation
Food
Clothing according to the semester I will attend
