Dear Friends,
I am writing this with extreme desperation in my heart for help.
Pradeepa’s husband Mr. Gokula Krishnan, age 31, met with a tragic accident on 12th January 2019 around 11:30 PM. He was trying to catch a train from Chennai to Madurai to attend to his new born babies naming ceremony. The incident happened near Chrompet. His two-wheeler got crushed in the front and locals informed 108 ambulance and he was taken to nearby Govt. Hospital. From there due to a severe stomach pain he was shifted by his friend to Apollo OMR, Chennai.
A CT scan was taken immediately in abdomen and found that the abdomen cavity has torn the diaphragm and pushed itself up into lung cavity, creating a compression for lungs. This resulted in breathing difficulty. Immediate surgery was performed to release the abdominal cavity back into abdomen. Diaphragm was treated as well as lung treatment to restore its position were performed.
Post the surgery he was kept in ventilator on 13th Jan. Angiogram was taken in his heart that revealed the blockage in Aorta valve on 14th Jan. Blood thinners were started as he is not in a position to take another surgery that involves lungs and heart.
On 15th Jan, doctors noticed he went unconscious and the clot(in aorta valve) has reached to brain and he had a stroke in his brain. The stroke resulted in bulging of cerebellum making it swell. An emergency brain surgery was performed to unlock the clot. Further a part of skull was opened to give enough space for the bulging not to create internal hemorrhage.
He was kept in monitoring for 48 hours. Meanwhile another full body CT Scan and MRI was taken which confirmed the need for another spine surgery as they noticed fracture in his back bone(middle).
Doctors are waiting for his stability to perform another surgery on his spine.
The total estimate of his recovery is expected to be $50000( Rs35 Lacs), as per estimate by hospital.
Pradeepa's family is unable to bear such expenditure. They sincerely require our help to save her husband’s life. It would be really of godly help if you kindly support us in our hard times.
