Take a journey with Kim

This gofundme cause is for a dear, close friend of mine, Kim Campbell. She is a 44 year old, strong, loving, single mother of 3 boys, Kim has always put her kids first along with anyone else that needed help.  Kim was working with adults with disabilities and caring for her own family. Unforunately, on June 27th, Kim's life took a turn for the wors when she  was taken to the ER for confusion and memory loss. When I took Kim in, the doctor ran tests but found nothing wrong, so they sent her back home. During that time, Kim's young sons and close friends turned into full-time caregivers to ensure that Kim was safe, eating, and taking her diabetes medications as Kim's memory loss had continued. On June 30th, Kim made another trip back to the ER because her confusion and memory had been getting worse. They admitted Kim to the University of Iowa hospital. It was then brought to our attention that the doctors believed that Kim had an infection in her brain which was causing this all to happen. Kim was in the hospital until July 12th as the medical professionals indicated that they had "done all that they could do." Kim went home, continued needing full-time care, and with the help of her kids, family, and friends Kim slowly started to regain some of her memory.  We believed Kim was on the up and up. Our hopes, we believe, had gotten too high  as on July 27th, we rushed Kim back to the hospital due to Kim loosing her eye sight. Her left eye was droopy and she was having double vision. Kim was admitted again to the hospital. The doctors started her on antibiotics, thinking this would help the "infection". During this stay, Kim's friends and family pushed medical professionals to dig deeper as nothing seemed to be working.   On August 8th, Kim had a brain stem biopsy done.  On August 9th, Kim had been diagnoised with brain cancer, located on her memory lobe.  As of today, they are doing another biopsy on Kim, bone marrow, to see if the cancer is solely located in her brain or has, god forbid, spread to other areas. Kim will, hopefully,  be starting chemotherapy soon.
 Kim is a single-parent and sole provider, for two sons. Kim is receiving short term disability but it just isn't enough to maintain her family and won't begin to touch her out-of-pocket hospital expenses and cancer therapies. Her  family is in shock and emotional termoil with Kim being the only source of income. Kim has a son entering school soon, in need of school supplies,  and another one who is waiting to see what is going to happen with his mom, if he needs to seek guardianship for his younger sibling or if he needs to do home care for her.
