Longtime APD Officer Pete Gelabert's wife Valarie (who also works at APD at CSA Traffic Sub Station) recently had emergency surgery for heart related issues.
She needed a heart pacemaker in order to survive. She currently (as of January 23rd 2019) is in intensive care at a local hospital here in Albuquerque. Her recovery will require some time and additional hospital assistance.
