Please help our sister, Angela

Cancer. You never think it could happen to you or your family. And when it does, it blindsides you. We're raising funds for our sister, Angela, who has been re-diagnosed with the most aggressive form of cancer -- triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). Angela is only 48 years old.

TNBC characteristically has a high recurrence rate, which drops down sharply after five years. The risk of recurrence for TNBC is greatest within the first three years and unfortunately, three years after Angela's first diagnosis, the disease has come back with a vengeance. The funds raised from this campaign will help pay her mortgage and living expenses while she fights this deadly disease.

Angela was re-diagnosed with TNBC six weeks ago. Stage 4. In her breast, abdomen, spleen, lungs and lymph nodes. Since her recent diagnosis in July 2018, she has been hospitalized three times. Most recently, she's been fighting pneumonia, a frequent type of infection in cancer patients. In a mere six weeks, she went from a vibrant, self-sustaining woman, with two daughters, a good job, a home that was hers and a life that was full, to now facing a battle that has momentarily robbed her of all of that.  Her life as she once knew it has completely changed.

Right now, Angela is in a weakened state, giving all her energy to healing and is unable to earn any income. She is surrounded by her family and an amazing support team that are standing side-by-side fighting with her. But we need your help to eliminate the worry about losing her home, leaving her and her two daughters homeless.

We are kindly asking you to make a contribution to help Angela. Your kindness will ease the excruciating financial burden of losing her home while she's fighting the battle of her life. We can ease this stress for her and we can do this with your help. A gift in any amount will make a difference.

Thank you. We are deeply grateful for your help.

Angie finally came home last week after spending time in the hospital. She continues to battle each day with the help of family and a home healthcare nurse who visits her to ensure she is comfortable. She is scheduled for her third chemo treatment next week and we are remaining positive that she’ll be strong enough to endure it. Ange is surrounded by her daughters and family and is taking it one day at time, remaining optimistic to fight this monster. We are pretty close to meeting our $20,000 goal and we ask you to please continue sharing her story. All funds raised will provide her income so she can continue to stay in her home and provide for her daughters, Lindsey and Paige. We are truly grateful to everyone for their thoughts, prayers, kindness and generosity. All these precious gifts have lifted Angie’s spirit. Thank you so much.

It has been a few rough days for Angie but yesterday she turned the corner. Her spirits are up and her disposition is good! She had 1200 cc of fluid removed from her lungs and that will bring her much relief. Although she's still in the hospital, our hope is she'll be going home today or in the next day or two.

Again, on behalf of Angie, her daughters and our entire family, we are sincerely grateful for your support, thoughts and prayers. We ask that you continue to share her story so that we can reach our goal of raising $20,000. This money will be used to pay her bills as she was recently terminated from her job. Again, many blessings and thank you!

Update on Angie:
Angela is back in the hospital. She had a D-dimer done which is a blood test that indicates if there is a blood clot, should be 500 or less, her numbers were 1300. They want to check to see if she developed a blood clot possibly in the lower lung. They wanted to place an IV with a bigger needle for the contrast but her veins are so fragile right now, she was crying so Lisa told the male nurse that was trying to stick her to stop. So they did a ct without the contrast. We will not know anything until later today.

That is all we know as of right now. Please, keep Angela in your prayers as she is fighting this horrible battle. ♥️

Angela's battle continues to challenge her every day. Although she is fighting like hell, she's trying to remain positive so she can regain her strength. Angela was readmitted to the hospital again last week for six days. This is the fourth time in two months that she's been hospitalized. She was discharged late yesterday and tomorrow she is scheduled for her second chemo treatment. We've seen a little progress from the first treatment and we're hoping the second one will stem the cancer and give her a little relief.

Angela is overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from you. It warms her heart (and ours) and relieves some of her financial burdens so she can focus on what's most important -- regaining her strength. We encourage you to send her a note of cheer on her Facebook or in the mail. Please message me if you'd like her address.

Thank you for your kindness, prayers, thoughts and of course your generosity. Our family is blessed by the community of friends we have and we are deeply grateful for your compassion.
