Please Help My Daddy - USC Film School Alumni

                           "PLEASE HELP MY DADDY!"

HE IS A USC FILM SCHOOL ALUMNI - DESPERATE TO DEFEAT CANCER.... I was born December 5, 2018.  Rey Christian Hunt, my Daddy, was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer on February 1, 2019!

He needs $100,000 for treatment for Stage IV inoperable lung cancer that has metastasized to lymph nodes and bones!

This page is sponsored by his family.

Rey graduated in December 2016 from the University of Southern California, School of Film and Television Production. He is an artist that worked on Indie and studio film projects that have helped promote empathy and education for social issues.

He and his wife, Heather, were married in 2009 and tried for 9 years to have a baby.  They finally got pregnant and delivered this beautiful baby boy (pictured above), December 5th 2018.  Rey was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer eight weeks later on February 1, 2019.

Rey has never smoked.  He and his wife are vegans and gluten free!  Ten years ago, he was diagnosed with an auto-immune/connective tissue disease called scleroderma.  Since he had none of the usual criteria associated with lung cancer, we believe the scar tissue that comes with scleroderma, injured the lung tissue that attracted the mutated cancer cells.  Rey is in constant chronic pain, which has a paralyzing effect.  He cannot pick up or hold his precious baby or drive his car.  He can walk, but now utilizes a wheelchair.  If he takes more than a few steps, he will collapse from the fatigue.  It takes hours for the pain to dissipate enough for him to tolerate the effects of the pain.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!  The traditional treatment for cancer has a very low rate of success at this stage. The therapy that we are seeking is offered in Germany, Switzerland, Asia and Mexico.  We have included pathology reports (below) from the lung biopsy, the CT of the chest and information about the alternative treatment plan from the hospital.
(Mom & Dad)

Rey worked 12 to 14 hour days to support his family.  He is a pillar of the community and volunteered his time with at-risk and under-privileged youth for 6 years when he had no children of his own.  He went to their graduations, donated money, sponsored programs and became a real big brother.  Some of the kids were angry and rebellious with undesirable behavior, this did not deter him from volunteering.  Rey is a very giving, and caring person that is a loyal friend that has always made himself available to give help to anyone in need.  So many other young adults would be more concerned with skiing, going to the theater or just enjoying their lives!
Rey is very loved by his mom and dad (who are covering his medical care), his wife, newborn son and many, many family members.  Everyone is supporting and standing with him; however, the treatment is outside of the country, and his insurance will not cover this  life saving  treatment!

The facility is an in-house treatment center managed by a team of medical doctors that have dedicated their lives to cancer treatment and recovery!  He will have one year of treatment, but, WE NEED YOUR HELP!  Your gift is tax deductible, and you'll be giving this baby his daddy back.  Also, giving Rey a 'quality of life' that will allow him to live and raise his son!

PLEASE DONATE TO HELP THIS NEW DADDY!  Any donations will go to the cancer treatments, his hospital stay, homecare immunotherapy and basic things needed to sustain his life.   Your donations are greatly appreciated!  Our son, Rey, is not one to ask for help so we, the family, are asking on his behalf.

Thank you for your generosity!
