Dear Beautiful People, 

My name is Marco Rosa, a portuguese artist currently based in Portugal, and as you can see in my profile picture, I am a violinist. You can see and discover all of my projects online through this link www.marcorosamusic.com .


So, the year 2018 has been The Year for me in terms of international projection as a musician, as for the first time ever, I've managed to organize and book my first European Summer Tour that includes acts that involve playing the violin. One of those acts is Lemon Tree, a band from England that I recently joined, and we were booked to play at SUN Festival in Hungary. The concert was amazing and the feedback from the audience and festival organizers was very positive. After that, a terrible thing happened.   


After the Lemon Tree concert, my violin was placed under a locked van for safety reasons, but unfortunately that place was too hot for it. When I took it out from there it seemed ok at first, but I was kind of in a rush to leave so I did't see it properly..and It’s not ok . The wood has shrinked and swelled...the violin is destroyed. 
 

I think I had my violin since Im 6 years old and was bought in Budapest by my father. According to him, it belonged to some hungarian orchestra conductor. 



I know that it’s impossible for SUN Festival to refund me because that violin was priceless, not only in terms of quality value but also the emotional part of it. It has been my tool for expressing my emotions for at least 20 years. So, the only solution I see with this, is to create this campaing crowdfund on internet and kindly ask everybody to help me gather enough money to buy at least a decent violin that can cover the following gigs I'm booked for this Summer (next one is already in Boom Town Fair in UK, with LemonTree, on the beginning of August) and afterwards in time, if possible, find a violin that feeds my needs and lets me truly open my soul book.
