Please help me attend my sons funeral service

Yesterday I received the call that all parents dread, my child had passed away that morning. Brett had struggled with substance abuse, but was living in a sober house in Colorado. We won't know for sure what caused his death until the coroner's results are back.

Brett had just turned 22. I did not raise my son, as I was not in a stable place when he was born, but his wonderful adoptive family sent pictures and letters regularly. I was able to watch him flourish in a wonderfully loving environment. He has a younger sister who was also adopted.
I was finally able to meet him and spend a few wonderful months with him from December 2017, to March 2018.
From my home, he moved on to Colorado, where he had dreamed of living. Brett was a talented musician, thespian and animal lover.

I financially struggle, but would dearly love to attend his services in Illinois. Airfare is anywhere from $100 to $500, depending upon scheduling. I will also be needing a rental car and hotel. Please, if you have it in your heart, donate. I need to say goodbye to my son. Thank you.
