Marie's Breast Cancer Fund

My mother, Marie Poggi, has been diagnosed with Infiltrating lobular carcinoma/malignant neoplasm of the breast, back in August of 2017.
Since then, she's been traveling back and forth to MD Anderson in Texas for her Plan of Care from Gulf Shores, AL (8 hour car ride).

She has unfortunately missed several treatments due to the affordability in traveling ie. unreliable vehicle and unavailable funds for gas, medication and/or shelter to get treatment she so desperately needs.

My sister,  has helped her in many, many ways. More than I could ever do. God bless her. So, this is MY way of helping my mom fight this disease. Through gofundme, this platform has given me the opportunity to reach out to my family, friends and community and ask for prayer, sharing and contributing.

She is expected to have treatments/testing weekly, making it extrememly difficult for her to stay in Texas during her plan of care so she can continuously receive chemotherapy and testing as needed.

I have done what I could, when I could, with funds my husband and I were able to contribute. Now we are reaching out to help her complete the treatment she needs but we are confident that through prayer, God will heal her and guide us in the right direction to help her receive the needed treatment.
We are using gofundme and praying for your help so that soon, she can show her testimony to the world on how, with your help, the power of prayer and leaning on God, SHE WILL BE HEALED.

The funds you may help us raise will help provide shelter, food and medication for her so she can stay in Texas and receive treatment rather than travel back and forth for the remainder of her treatment, two months.
Thanks to my sister, she has made it out there and working through her plan of care! Thanks Clorinda!

She is so close to finishing and if she doesn't follow her plan as directed, it can set her back in more ways than I'm sure we can imagine.

I feel terrible asking for your help but I love my mom, a wonderful grandmother to 7 grandchildren and if I don't try to help this way through gofundme, (last resort) I feel I will regret not doing anything more to get her the funds she needs.

It's ironic that she was diagnosed with cancer because my mom was always helping others that were in her situation, with transportation to the doctor, or cooking meals, or praying, or offering monetary support to those in need. We never would have imagined it would happen to her, as most families feel, I'm certain.

I know God has a plan and we are looking forward to seeing the amazing outcome he has for her.

I've also done alot of fund raising for The American Cancer Society through the years and they've helped my mom too where they felt they could, thankfully, but, I know we could do more to help.

Thank you for your support, any little bit counts and sharing this post would be greatly appreciated.
