My spine continues to deteriorate and I have been planning Lumbar Fusion surgery for some time. Originally the plan was surgery no later than Thanksgiving, back to work mid January. I structured my finances along that plan.
Life being what it is that is no longer the plan. I am now looking at late Feb or March, and will be having 2 possibly 4 operations over several days. 6 weeks recovery is now 6 months. I can no longer work, or drive and am using a walker.
I have applied for goverment aid in the form of disabilty compensation but it will take at least 2 months to get, if I get it. And a plumbing emergency wiped out my savings.
I am dead broke facing utility bills, and simply asking for enough help to pay my rent etc until govt aid kicks in.
