Please Help Gretel Huglin-Ridge

The unthinkable has happened. Beautiful friend,  community inspiration, and brilliant teaching artist Gretel Huglin Ridge suffered a cerebral hemorrhage last Thursday, triggering a stroke. She's out of ICU and will remain hospitalized at Cottage for the next several days. After that, Gretel will be moved to a rehabilitation facility or home, depending on need.

Already the hospital was asking for first payment on her current bill, just the tip of this medical iceberg. Gretel will be unable to work for several months to a year. She will need speech, physical and occupational therapy. She will need home help, and as much loving kindness from others as Gretel has given throughout her life.

All donations will be used for payment of her medical, rehabilitation, and life expenses throughout her recovery. Let's do all we can to offer her support. We can't take away Gretel's stroke, but together we can collectively help her gain the time to heal.

Gretel's husband Tripp has not left her side in the hospital. Her sons C-Mo and Boo  are doing their best during this crisis. Yet Gretel and her loving family will need as much support as we can give them. This situation is unbearably expensive, logistically complex, and scary. Let's help lessen all three burdens, so her healing can happen.
