Please help get Jason to California

Donation protected
UPDATE....12/18/2017 Happy Holidays to all! Our loved one, Jason Overbey, needs to travel once again to CA on January 26th to continue his treatment. First, let me thank each and every person who has been able to contribute this far in his journey. The support has been amazing, the love overwhelming, and I cannot adequately express the gratitude from myself and the Overbey family. Our work is not done yet troops, so I have set a new goal of $3500 needed for the next trip in January. Here, they will repair his middle left and right lung. Please donate what you can and continue to pray for Jason and his family. Thank you!! Jason Overbey was having a very difficult time breathing. He was becoming very fatigued with any kind of exercise or activity, and just really didn't feel well. One day while he was home he became very winded just walking from his living room to the kitchen.  He collapsed and was unable to breathe. He went to the local hospital, was then transported to a hospital in Lima, Ohio and finally was transported to the Ohio State Medical Center. During his hospital stay it was found that he has chronic multiple blood clots in both of his lungs and also has heart damage on the right side. Normal blood pressure is in the 20’s, while Jason’s is 88. They diagnosed him with a condition called CTEPH – Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension. CTEPH arises from repeated or unresolved pulmonary embolism – or clots in the pulmonary arteries. CTEPH is one of the leading causes of severe pulmonary hypertension and right-sided heart failure, and it is deadly. The only treatment for this life-threatening disease is a serious surgery called PTE-Primary Thromboendartecrectomy.  Medical doctors have determined that without this surgery Jason will die.  His condition is life threatening and there are also serious risks involving the surgery. The Specialist from OSU made a referral for him to go to the University of California for this needed surgery. He has been accepted to go to California for an evaluation and possible surgery if he is considered a candidate. You may wonder why he has to travel all the way to California........The University of California San Diego has the highest success rate in the world for pulmonary thromboendarterectomy – performing more PTEs than any other medical center (more than 3,000 to date). While the family has modest health insurance, he will be responsible for his own airfare, housing, food, and rental car.  And will need to be in California for approximately a month. If he isn't considered a candidate for the PTE surgery, Plan B would be a procedure called Balloon Pulmonary Angioplasty which also needs to be done in CA. Either way, Jason will need to travel to CA three separate times.  Jason has three children…. Brianna 23, Moiryah 20, Micah 8, and his wife Monica.  PLEASE help us to raise the necessary money for travel to help him get to San Diego, California to receive the medical care he needs. Urgent help is needed since Jason's first appointment is in July.  If you are unable to give monetarily, please forward this campaign and pray for Jason and his family.  Thank you! (April 2017)
