Hello family, friends, followers and fans of Blizzard & Boo.
Our trail has taken a very unexpected turn this spring. From a bit of knee pain, through an MRI, to an oncologist in Denver, Co.........
My business partner and best friend, Charles "DOC" Dison
received news, that turned our world upside down.
In a single word: OSTEOSARCOMA.
A rare, yet aggressive form of bone cancer that grew into a frightening and large tumor, both in and around his leg bone (tibia). He will endure (3) three rounds of intense chemotherapy treatments beginning April 18, 2019. These treatments will span a period of 9 weeks in an attempt to destroy the cancer cells, ahead of having surgery to remove the growing tumor. (no confirmed surgery date at this time).
The worst of the tumor removal process, is that he will also have his right leg amputated at the knee, because the cancer tumor has surrounded and destroyed the originating bone.
After the surgery, he will continue to endure harsh chemotherapy in the hopes that all the cancer will be killed.
On April 13, 2019 (today), he learned that insurance, would not be covering as much of the costs as originally hoped. We are seeking assistance to help cover the overwhelming costs of battling this horrific cancer monster and easing "Doc's" worries so that he can concentrate on winning this battle. From co-pays to medicines, home care to transportation, all donations make a difference.
