Please Help Damon Palmer!

Damon Palmer was seriously injured in an attack on the morning of August 5th.  Outside of a Huntington Beach restaurant/bar, Damon was blindsided, sucker punched and left for dead on the sidewalk.  Fortunately, someone called 9-1-1.  Emergency personnel found Damon non-responsive and transported him to the UCI trauma Center.  Damon spent one night in the ER and two weeks in the trauma center focused on brain injuries.  Damon suffered three skull fractures and significant bleeding on the brain.

After the bleeding subsided and the skull fractures healed, Damon was released into the custody of his family.  Over the subsequent 6 weeks, Damon has worked religiously on his recovery with 5 therapists a day.  His motor functions are 100% recovered.  But he is still suffering from memory loss and he occasionally struggles to find his words.  He is experiencing blurred vision which makes it nearly impossible to read for more than a few minutes at a time.

While Damon has progressed a long way on his recovery journey, he is still unable to work or drive.  There is no time-table for when he will be cleared for either of these activities.

Unfortunately, many of Damon’s financial resources for therapy/recovery are drying up.

Prior to his injury Damon worked two jobs.  At Orange Coast Winery (OCW), Damon was a sales associate/server.  Damon is a customer favorite at OCW.  He greeted every customer with a huge smile and a friendly greeting.  He knew most members and their conversations would pick up were they left of on the previous visit.  Damon treated his customers and co-workers as family.  He was never afraid to express his love to anyone.

Earlier this year, Damon took a job at Summit Academy Charter Schools.  Damon is a single dad with shared custody of his 9 year old son.  Damon was saving money to get an apartment where his only roommate would be his son.

With no clear timeline on his recovery, Damon needs our love and support.  He has an unknown amount of therapy bills coming and his unable to make a living.  If you would like to make a donation, 100% of the money will go to Damon to pay for therapy and living expenses for himself and his son.
