Please help bring our Papa home

My name is Wendy Field and I am from Las Vegas, NV. Chuck is my stepdad and I am trying to raise funds to bring him home. Chuck Wyer is a 74-year-old grieving widow who is a kind-hearted and beautiful person. Chuck is currently struggling to survive. He and my mom were together for over 22 years and both were retired and living on their social security. They lived in Las Vegas most of their lives but moved to Sacramento Ca a few years ago to try to enjoy retirement together. Tragedy struck shortly after arriving when mom became very ill. Chuck had already been moms caregiver for many years prior because she had been run over by a motorcycle while crossing the street 11 years earlier which left her broken and in a wheelchair for the rest of her days. Chuck absolutely adored my mom and never left her side. She passed away on Mother's Day of this year which left poor Chuck with only his social security to live on. All of their savings had been exhausted after moms accident in 2006. All of his friends and most of the family live in Las Vegas so his support system is here and he really wants to come home. He has already tried to get into low-income housing in Sacramento but the waiting list is almost 2 years long. I have found a wonderful low-income apartment here in Las Vegas for retired people but we can not afford the costs associated with moving him home as we are all struggling families ourselves. Chuck's independence is very important to him so he really doesn't want to live with family which I can understand. Chuck has been through so much over the past few years. We just want to take care of him but we need to bring him home first. Please help us bring our papa home. We are asking for help with the remaining cost of living that his social security doesn't cover from now to February 1st, costs of apartment deposits, moving truck and transportation. Any help you can give will be GREATLY appreciated. Our goal is to have the funds raised by the end of January for a February 1st move as his apartment should be available for move in by then.
