Plea from Peanut & Trouble

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Peanut.  I’m a sassy little tiger who was adopted with my brother, Trouble, from the Humane Society four years ago by our human Mama Susann.  We were little, and really scared at first, but Mama Susann, her brother Frank, and their mama did everything they could to make us feel safe and comfortable.  Our Mama Susann is a really good artist.  She wants to draw us, but we would rather play than sit still for stuffs like that.

But then Mama Susann’s mother got sick and had to go to the hospital in the middle of the night.  When she came back a week later, the vet lady who came to check on her said she had survived something called a thyroid storm.  That was how they found out our human Grandma has an irregular heartbeat.  Mama Susann and her brother did all they could to take care of us and human Grandma.  But human Grandma fell and had to leave our home.  She now lives in another place that’s far away from our home.

Mama Susann and her brother Frank are sad, but they let Trouble and me know they still love us and work harder.  It’s not enough though.  Frank has to file for something called bankruptcy.  We are losing our home now.  Mama Susann and Brother Frank are gone for long hours.

Brother Frank works far away, and while Mama Susann drives, her brother doesn’t.  So she would drive him to work and have to stay there until his work time was over, then drive him home again.  But Mama Susann has problems going out in public.  She gets scared and will panic, so she stays in her car.  Trouble and I come to her rescue when she would come home.  We greet her at the door with meows and purrs, letting her know how much we love her...  and want food.  We cuddle with her to let her know that even though we are young and still small, we will look after her the way she looks after us.  Trouble and I catch the mice that try to sneak into the house, and I beat Trouble to the long moving string that I found in the dining room.  I still don’t know why Mama got rid of  it outside, I thought she would like it.

Last winter, Mama Susann and Brother Frank almost didn’t come home.  Their car broke down, but they managed to get help to change the broken wheel and get home before the other wheel broke.  But Brother Frank lost his job because the car was broken and he couldn’t get to work.  We were all scared, but we made it through the winter.

Still no job for Brother Frank.  Mama Susann cries more often.  She’s scared, but doesn’t want us to see.  She tries to act brave, but we know when she hugs us that something is wrong.  She and Brother Frank are putting everything into boxes.  We want to play in the boxes, but they say no.  They let us climb and sleep on them instead.  Then new people come over and are moving our things.  Big scary trucks take our things away.  Mama Susann and Brother Frank come home tired and bruised from moving everything so fast.  Then Trouble and I are packed into our carriers and put in the car.  We don’t like car rides, they scare us.  We cry from the back seat, and Mama Susann and Brother Frank tell us it will be ok.  We stay in a small room for a few nights.  Trouble and I are scared and hide under the beds while Mama Susann and Brother Frank figure out what to do.  Another long road trip.  Another small room.  They have to take us with them when they go out now so nobody will hurt us or let us out of the little room while they are gone.  Mama Susann cries because she knows we’re scared.  She cuddles Trouble and I before putting us into our carriers, telling us how sorry she is and that she loves us so very much.  She says she wants us all to go home, but we no longer have one.  We love our Mama Susann and Brother Frank, we know they are trying their best for us.

So please, if you can, please help our Mama and her Brother.  They have been through so much.  Trouble and I are trying our best to keep them calm and to make them smile when they need it the most.

We just need the funds to help to find a home for all of us, and a job for Brother Frank as soon as possible, because they are running out of money. It will run out as of next week and then we will be living out of our car.  We are all afraid of that.

Thank you all for listening to my plea.  Many purrs to you.
