Playground Fundraiser

August 12th will mark 10 years since my diagnosis with colorectal cancer.  Those who know me may or may not know the cancer journey I have walked since that day.  Rest assured, I practice gratitude each day I am still here.  I never expected to make it 10 years and now that I am closing in on that milestone I want to invite you to celebrate life with me!  Please come join us that day from 2:00 to 6:00 at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Mobile, AL for food, fun, and fellowship.

I hope in knowing me you also know how much I value youth.  I enjoy my time with my children and family, but I have also committed my life to pursuing youth development and empowerment.  This stretches from my family into community-related work with kids and youth. 

So, as part of my celebration I am hoping to raise money to build a playground for youth at my church.  Our fundraising goal for this effort is $10,000.  I know it seems like a lot, but I believe it’s possible.  Just the idea of beginning this campaign was met with a $1000 starter donation from a family at my church!  So, we are already a 10th of the way there.  


I would love to report to you at the conclusion that we exceeded our goal!
