Merry Christmas! With heartfelt gratitude, I want to thank you for making this year's Play Ball project a total success.
Thanks to Ricardo Aban, who organized the project on the ground in the Philippines, we were able to get exceptional pricing on all the balls - doubling what we we could normally deliver.
I'm just now starting to get pictures and video, which I'll post here and to Facebook. Here's the main video shot and edited by one of the volunteers, Melvin Cabe - https://www.facebook.com/mtcabe/videos/10154945568294575/.
This project is very special to a lot of people. It's not just about giving these kids something to be happy about this Christmas. But, think about parents who have nothing to give their children and the joy they receive from seeing their kids' faces light up. Think about the volunteers, who themselves have lost so much, yet, get to be on the giving end of something special for a change.
So, I thank you again for being MY hero this year and helping to make this happen. You are amazing!
Love and Salamat,
Taylor Stockwell, Dozens of Volunteers and over 300 Happy, Smiling Kids
I have some AWESOME news. Thanks to our volunteer on the ground - Ricardo Aban (here's a picture of Ricardo delivering a ball to a kid last year) - we were able to negotiate an awesome price for the balls this year. They come out to about $5 per ball, which means your donation has twice the impact!
Thank you so much for supporting this cause this year. We're going to make a LOT of kids thrilled! You guys are the best!
Second, today is #GivingTuesday. What a great way to celebrate by sharing our goal with friends. Help make your friends and family superheroes to a kid this year.
Here's a quick video I pulled together with some pics of our smiling kids. Share it out!
Some of you know that I have a great love for Filipinos, stemming from my mission there. For the past to years, great volunteers have helped me raise and deliver hundreds of balls for the kids there - kids who lost everything in Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). Help us again this year by donating just $5, $10 or more to get a ball delivered to a kid for Christmas. You're going to feel great about yourself. 100% of the donations goes to the kids!
Hi Friends and Family! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I wanted you all to know how grateful I am for your support. "Play Ball for Kids" has been a fun project for me with many great volunteers helping behind the scenes. I don't yet have a tally on the number of balls delivered this year, but, I'll post pictures and numbers as soon as I have them. Thank you again for an amazing 2015 and for caring enough to bring smiles to these great kids.
Thank you ALL for donating so far. I have the best, most generous friends in the whole world! Now - go get your friends to give a little this Christmas. Share the site on your feed. Let's see if we can hit $1000. That would be a little over 100 balls.
