Challenge Alhambra's Poor Planning

ALHAMBRANS FOR RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT!

An appeal has been filed to take the Planning Commission's decision of Jan. 17, 2017 on the Lowes developent directly to the City Council. At that point, should the City Council approve the project, a public referendum could be triggered.

It cost $940, plus GoFundMe fees. Thank you to all, we've reached that goal!

But we're taking it to the next level, if necessary! I've extended the goal to pay for initial legal fees.

Alhambra Court Commercial Development is a proposed project on a 12.66-acre commercial lot on Fremont, north of Mission and south of Commonwealth.   It includes a Lowes, two 6 story office buildings, one 6-story parking garage and room for 1400 parking spots -- right where commuter traffic backs up on Fremont. The City claims the project will “not result in any significant adverse impacts” without the City authorizing a comprehensive study (Environmental Impact Report - EIR).   Alhambrans deserve a valid study, not an initial study that is based off of a Lowes in a rural part of California.
