State to Prom for 3 Great Guys

Three of the captains of the track team at University Christian School run on the 4x400 relay team. They have worked hard all year to compete with the top teams in the state. They have set many personal records and came in second place at districts.  Just before regional track meet, the FHSAA released the schedule for state. If they advanced to state, they would run on the evening of the 6th - the same night as prom! All three already promposed and rented tuxes.... their dates all bought dresses. They went out to compete - our second leg was tripped going in the third turn, almost fell. He recovered and still ran a good time. We set a PR, almost broke the school record, and qualified for state by .005 seconds!!! Without the trip, we would have cut at least two seconds. 

When faced with the decision of whether to choose prom or the state meet, someone asked a better question: "what if we don't have to choose?" What if we found a pilot with access to a plane who would like to help make an unforgettable story reality? Pilots are cool people with an appetite for adventure. We are raising money to help cover the cost of gas and expenses. We will continue to update with information and details as it becomes available.
