Plainfield High School WTP/DC Bound
$2,675 of $10k goal
Plainfield High School finished second in the Indiana state "We the People" competition in December. This qualified our class to compete at the National Finals in Washington, DC, in April, this spring.
We the People is a curriculum that immerses the students in the US Constitution, its philosophy, the struggle for its ratification, the Bill of Rights, as well as the responsibilities of citizenship (see the video on our page for more insights).
In our school's one previous trip to Nationals PHS finished 10th, which meant that their final hearing round was on Capitol Hill. This year's class of 20 students hope to finish as well or better.
However, this endeavor is expensive and that is why we are asking for your support. Please help us so we can prepare for this incredibly challenging competition and NOT have to worry as much about fundraising.
Thank you so much for helping us and for furthering civic education in our state and our nation. PHS-WTP-DC Bound!!
