Hi everyone it’s Pistachio here, I had babies on Sunday...5 beautiful little one’s but unfortunately I contracted Pyometra which is usually fatal!! My humans sent me to emergency to see if I had placenta or another baby inside of me and they did a MRI but the doctor said that I didn’t, but he didn’t clear me, so I couldnt go home.
The next day one of my babies died because I wasn’t producing enough milk and then I got really sick and big chunks came out of me so I went back to the hospital... this time they kept me there and told my human parents about the infection and what could happen, so the doctor gave me a lot of antibiotics and calcification, which helped at first but then I had to go to an overnight emergency hospital and I crashed...I had a high fever and my white blood cells went very, very low so they had to give me more medication and monitor me overnight so I could have an operation, but if my counts didn’t go up and they operate I could have possibly bleed out so we had to wait!!
The next day my human daddy picked me up and we went back to the vet doctor and they decided to either operate or go to Guelph so I could get plasma just in case I do bleed out... oh, no... my infection spread so it got even scarier for everyone, so my parents decided to operate right away and I did pretty good... but I was still very critical, my human daddy had to pick me up again and drive to a big facility so they could monitor me again and make sure I didn’t bruise or have internal bleeding and that’s where I am right now...
Now I’m so worried for my human parents... as all this cost a lot of money and they don’t have much...but did this all for me no matter what happened so I am asking even if it’s just a little if you could help them to pay for the medical bills and help with my babies as I can’t feed them anymore...they need special milk and pee pads and I need lots of medicine when I come home as well , I know it’s a lot to ask for a lot of people as life is expensive...but any help would be wonderful and very greatful and thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️I’m hoping I can go home very soon!!...Love to all...Pistachio
