We Need Help

Hi, I'm Piper Steed and in the picture is my son whose father is absent for the most part (and owes over $10,000 in child support). I was rocking the single mom life for some time.
Tired of working in food service and being a maid (both jobs kept me very ill for a long time) I started school to earn a degree in something I truly enjoyed. I wanted to show my son that despite the situation you come from, you have the power to change your future and chase your dreams.

At first, we were able to live off my fiance' income so I could go to class full time. This does, however, mean we rely on food stamps, gov. apartment, and I had to use student loans for school. I thought once I got my degree, I wouldn't need assistance much longer.

I was almost finished, and it's all crashing down.

I launched a campaign late last year in what should have been my second to last semester when a car accident threw my finances and grades through a loop.  I thought my small request was enough because I was able to climb back on top of some things.

Sadly, we've been kept in a terrible situation prior to the accident and it has only gotten worse because of the financial hit we took.

Since then I have suffered debit card fraud which my financial institution refused to help rectify, claiming they sent a letter requesting information that I did not respond to - I did not recieve such letter. In the chaos of changing card numbers etc my already spiked car insurance did not get their automatic payments, as I thought they took directly from account. I did not discover I now lack car insurance until a month later. I now owe and shouldn't be driving.

I had one class left that I needed to re-take this summer. It's supposed to start Monday (6/15) but I just discovered that the last student loan I accepted (3 times because it kept un-selecting) STILL didn't register that I accepted. I am now booted from the class roster for nonpayment due to glitches.

We haven't had food stamps for months because last semester I took a workstudy job on my campus. It paid very little and only lasted the semester, but I was hoping it'd help us fix some issues left over from accident. When I went to report the job to my county JFS  they requested the HR fax number, which I had readily available, and was told all was well. Then I got a letter saying my family was cut-off for refusing to report job info. I called back, they claimed I never gave anyone the # so I gave it to them AGAIN. I was told I'd get a paper in the mail to fill out and send back then it'd be a few weeks before food was restored, and I did so. Waited, called back today. They claim, again, that I never gave them the # I've given them twice and now say I have to start all over. I've given them the # again because they *still* say they need it.

Our rent is random and unpridictable because our caseworker keeps "losing" our rent or our income verification, coming up with strange numbers in their place, then threatening to evict us every month for not having the right numbers. She is also charging my son (9 years old, in elementary school) rent based on his disability SSI (a practice I'm told is not legal?). We've caught her in lies before, she randomly decided we skipped a months rent several months ago but never sent any eviction notice and tried to get us to pay her for it months later. When told we had the money order recipt (they now refuse to send us rent recipts, claiming we have to drive over 30 min one way to get them and I don't have the gas $) she immedatly "found" the missing rent. Now she simply sends a constant barrage of eviction notices with random amounts written on them no matter how much money we send.

We can't live like this, we want out but can't afford to move (deposit + first months rent).

I never thought I'd have to do this the first time, let alone again. We need help.
