Pimp My ShortBus

Hi, I am James Van Vorst.

I acquired the ShortBus in 1999. It is built on a 1977 Chevrolet One Ton Van chassis.

Since 2000, the ShortBus has been shuttling downhill mountain bikers at South Mountain Park in Phoenix, AZ on Sundays.

When I first got the ShortBus, a lot of people said I should put it on MTV's 'Pimp My Ride'. Unfortunately I soon discovered that I was ineligible as I was not twenty-something and living in Southern California.

A year ago I got an amazing job with an incredible company called Local Motors. I am blessed to work with so many talented, creative, visionary, helpful people.

Now, I have access to the personell and facilities to make the dream happen.  I started a project blog for Pimp My ShortBus on the Local Motors project page, you can see progress and share your ideas.

I would like to keep the bus rolling for another fifteen years, and with your help that dream is possible.
