Before being officially diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Michael had spinal surgery to remove a mass that was wrapped around his T1 vertebrae, pressing on his spinal cord. The lymphoma had spread from his lymph nodes and left lung to his spine. Family and friends are hosting a benefit to contend with mounting medical and household bills.

For almost eight years, Mike has worked detailing cars, which is perfect since he loves anything auto-related. With his chemotherapy schedule, he is able to work part time at his job at Honda Motorwerks, which helps keep his spirits up. Mike is a hardworking, young man who loves to spend time with his family and friends. Mike and his girlfriend Rachel enjoy taking road trips to different places.
