Physiotherapy for Renzo
Donation protected
Renzo Carissimi has been working as gatekeeper at the American Academy in Rome since 1985 - more than 30 years. Two years ago he was diagnosed extrapyramidal syndrome, a neurological clinical disorder marked by abnormal involuntary movements, alterations in muscle tone, and postural disturbances, in the constellation of parkinsonism. He needs to have physiotherapy in order to relieve the symptons, control pain and spasm, improve range of motion and to prevent disability. At the moment he can only pay for one session of physiotherapy per week, but the recommended number is three, and he should continue with the treatment for the whole year. We are trying to raise funds to support his treatment.
