Physician Assistant Studies-Master

Hello :)

My name is Melinda Sopka and I'm coming from Serbia. I have been playing soccer and obtaining degree at Bethel University for four years now, and I'm hoping that I will continue following my dreams at the same school. This upcoming May, I graduted and received Bachelor of Science, majoring in Athletic Training. Though my schooling, I realized that I want to proceed into Medical field. I always had desire to help someone that needed medical or any other kind of attention. In order to be able to do that, I'm planning to proceed with my Masters in Physician Assistant.

From my freshman year, I have been playing varsity team, working the whole time, covering hundredth of hours in AT fields, and I was able to obtain 3.98/4.0 GPA. These whole four years, I was trying to work the hardest to help myself and my family with finances, which lucky I was successful in doing it.

Unfortunately from now, that will be really difficult. The whole tuition for my Master is $87,500 or $12,500 per semester for 27 months, or 7 semesters. That is without housing, and other living expenses. Which means that whole Master would cost me somewhere from $ 100, 000 - $ 120, 000. When I started thinking about PA, I was hoping that I will be able to get GA position, which would help me in paying my scholarship.  Real quickly I found out that I can not do that, because I will not be able to work during the next 27 months, because of the intense schedule. I realized that this next chapter will be really challenging for me, because of that I have tried to find and search for many different ways I could afford this.

My family is not able to take out such a big loan, because of economics situation back home where I would not be able to pay it back as it is needed. As I already said, I can not have GA position. I have talked with National Guard and Military, but I can not serve because I am not US citizen. I tried searching and looking for many different scholarships, but they as well asked for green card or US citizen. I started with applications for different international scholarship, which I hope will help me at least little bit for the beginning. Every day I'm trying to find different way that I could afford this, but I'm running out of options and this is the reason why I'm writing to you all.

*** As from Wednesday, August 22, 2018 I have been officially accepted into Bethel University Physician Assistant Program.  (Picture/proof is attached above.)

Please help if you can. If you can't, then please, PLEASE share this page as widely as you can.

(PS: I've attached my grades below, as curated by my school.)

Thank you for reading,
and Thank You so much for trying.
