Hello, I am creating this GoFundme campaign on the behalf of my Aunt and Uncle Gladys and Nevile two of the most caring people I know who have been faced with some hard times. They are in danger of losing their home to foreclosure due to reoccurring medical issues that happened. Their home is a home to our entire family, a place where all the friends and family come together to spend time with one another and to celebrate holidays it saddens us to see them going through this.
Nevile (66) a retired janitor and Gladys (68) a retired nurse bought their home after falling in love and getting married. They worked hard throughout the years maintaining and trying to keep a home for our family to stay. As time progressed Nevile unexpectedly had a heart attack while working, during that time he was part-time at his job so their income was cut in half while he was bedridden. Trying to stay afloat while he was home recouping we slowly started missing mortgage payments due to the shortage of income.
As he started to feel better his doctor gave him the ok to go back to work. Things started to go back to normal until he had another severe heart attack this time causing him to have a triple bypass surgery. His doctors then recommend that he retire because his heart became too weak to work. After missing some more payments the bank decided to offer us a new mortgage plan with and interest rate that would be unaffordable for them to maintain with a fixed income, the only way to bring it back down to an affordable interest rate is to pay the bank $50,000 which is money we honestly don’t have. We pleaded to the bank to hear out our case but it seems like it’s isn’t any use.
We are all doing everything as a family that we can to help them during this time. If anyone can please find it in their heart to help and donate it would mean the world to us. They are two of the kindest people who worked all their life to keep their home. If you may please help us in anyway even if it’s spreading the word! We are thankful.
