Phoenix AZ Holiday Hero Program
Like many residents of the Phoenix Arizona Metro Valley Area, i am a transplant to this city from the Midwest. Growing up in IOWA, you learn to take care of your neighbor, look out for one another, and try to be a overall good person.
I grew up less fortunate than most. My family lived in ghetto apartment buildings in sketchy neighborhoods, we were supported by goverment assistance and food stamps until probably the age of 10 years old when my dad decided to make a career change to better his family life. I know what it's like to experience struggle and that is why I have always had a spot in my heart for the homeless community.
This holiday season I have decided to do a completely selfless act. I am taking clothing and shoe donations from the Phoenix Valley community as well as monitary contributions to further buy clothing from goodwill, as well as hot meals to provide to the homeless community on christmas day.
Driving around Phoenix, you will see many homeless walking the streets, asking for food, money, etc. We are now reaching that point in the year where it is getting cold at night here in Phoenix and many of these individuals need hooded sweatshirts, jackets, socks, shoes, and just a meal in their stomache or a bottle of water.
I am personally accepting donations of used clothing and shoes, but I would also like to raise funds so I can buy meals and cases of water to pass out as well. I would also like to raise enough funds that I can donate money to the local homeless shelters as well.
I am asking for the assistance of the Local Phoenix Arizona community. Whether you can donate funds or not, please share the message and all be a holiday hero!!
