JEN MAY CANCER RECOVERY SUPPORT

As many of you know, our beloved, Jen May, is fighting cancer and needs our support when she is bed-ridden for two months through multiple surgeries.
Last October, Jen, found a lump in her right breast. She immediately got a diagnostic mammogram and biopsy. Thanks to the quick response of Dr. Greenberg, St. Luke's, Hailey) and the immense generosity of St. Luke's Boise and the Susan B. Komen Foundation, Jen received the news she had a Stage 1, 4cm malignant tumor. Jen has great genes and optimism but the nasty part of this bugger is that her cancer has a high recurrence rate so her treatment has to be extensive and thorough.
Jen has completed her chemotherapy at the St. Lukes Mountain States Institute, Boise although this last one in her words, "has kicked my ass every which way". We were surprised to find out that she needs radiation treatment, five days a week for six weeks in Twin Falls after her two surgeries in Boise. This all will incapacitate her for 6 weeks minimum. She is doing her best to schedule all this during slack.
Jen's work commitment amazes all, as usual, and she's worked hard through the last three months of chemo. This beautiful nutcase takes a shift one day after therapy when a co-worker does not show up, feeling like 'at death's door'. Jen is now experiencing peripheral neuropathy as side effects from the chemo where she's having trouble walking and using her hands, falling because of balance and extreme exhaustion. She has lost all hope of being able to work through the radiation and won't be able to from recuperation from surgeries.
We are looking to raise $3,000 for two months as detailed below. This is for living expenses and gas to radiation treatment in Twin. She will be unable to work because of the ovarian surgery, being bed-ridden except the painful driving to and from Twin.

In the coming months, we will need help taking Jen to radiation treatment in Twin. It’s about a 4 hour door to door trip and gas will be reimbursed through this page or her car can be driven as well.
