Defray John MacKay's Funeral Costs

My stepdad, a 21-year Navy vet, passed away Saturday night after a battle with cancer. Sadly, the VA only contributes $300 to funeral expenses. I'm raising funds to give to his widow, Kelly, to help defray the costs of a cremation (in accordance with my dad's wishes).

John MacKay grew up in South Boston as the son of a cop, joined the Navy at 18, and served in Operation Desert Storm as on the USS Nassau. He was a loving husband and father, an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, and in recent years, even a hobby farmer. He left us far too soon, and will be deeply missed.
