Help us Curb Hunger!

Tax deductible

Peyton's Promise was started in 2006 when 8 year old Peyton Medick, set out on a mission that would change her community. One evening she was watching the news with her family. There was a story of a young boy who didn't know the three meals of the day. Peyton then immediately wanted to help stop hunger in her community. This small dream, from one small child, has grown into an enormous army of youth advocates making a difference in their communities. This past year Peyton's Promise has become a 501 (c) (3). Their mission is to collect food for food pantries to keep them stocked and to educate people about the problem of hunger and fight childhood obesity.

The Peyton’s Promise Advocate program, has over 75 students throughout the community. Peyton's Promise has collected over 250 tons of food and has been awarded over $45,000 in grants, donations, and scholarships, for local pantries in Central Wisconsin and throughout the U.S. One of Peyton's Promise Programs that is leading the way in stopping childhood obesity and raising hunger awareness is their soup can workouts. Students bring in two cans of soup for a school workout. This soup is then donated to the pantries after the workout. These events help teach students about hunger issues in their community and teaches the importance of moving to fight childhood hunger.

At the heart of their mission is the Advocate Program which started in 2012 with the goal of empowering youth to make an impact on the world around them. Through the Peyton's Promise Advocacy Program youth are trained to speak to their school and community organizations about the problem of hunger. They work with their community to stock pantries, and run efficient food drives. This hands-on work with local organizations trains, informs, organizes, and empowers youth to make a difference in the communities in which they live.

Here's where your donation will help...
We are raising money to purchase a Peyton's Promise Van.  With a van, we will be able to drive advocates and volunteers to many events, as well as haul food from food drives.
During the summer months, some kids go all day without food because they dont recieve free or reduced lunch from school.
The most exciting part of being able to have this van is that we will be able to go into low income areas and deliver meals to kids during the summer. This will also give the volunteers an oppertunity to connect with the kids and realize that they are no different than you or I.

Any donation amount will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for making the world a better place, One can at a time!
