I finally have the plan for New York and this mommy is having a very hard time!! Peyton and I will leave on May 14th, Mother's Day of course, to go back up to New York. He will have a bone marrow biopsy and scans that week. Starting the week of May 22nd he will start a different type of antibody for 3 days and then get to return home that weekend. He will have 3 weeks at home and then we will return for the last cycle of that antibody. At that point he will have more scans and if everything looks okay he will start the vaccine trial. I know this is very confusing, trust me my head is spinning and my heart is aching. I do know this is Peyton's best hope in beating this stupid cancer that has totally changed and disrupted our lives. Peyton is so very tired of treatment, needles, medicine, scans, missing school, and never knowing what is next. My prayer... my hope... is that over the next year doing the antibody and vaccine trial he will be cancer free and be a survivor. When we first found out about him having this cancer we were told that the chances were so little and that he might not survive. In just over 2 years that has completely changed and now we are hearing that he is so close to being free of this. I can't begin to express my gratitude to all of you. You all have been by our side through the good and the bad and have always been willing to do anything to help. That means the world to me. I have the most amazing friends, the most amazing loved ones in my life, and because of that I know we can get through this. My heart hurts because I don't want to pack up again and make Peyton go through more but I know, as his mom, this is what we need to do. Okay sorry for the long emotional post, I just want you all to know we love you and thank you for everything. I will continue to update and let you know how he is doing. Please pray for my sweet girls too because this is just as hard on them. We got this!! Go Team Peyton!!!!
