Petra Jonson (Callie Conti’s son) is a 20 year old WSU Student going to school to become an Aerospace Engineer. He experienced an accidental fall that resulted in very serious injuries which landed him in the ICU. Petra’s accident happened in Pullman but he was air lifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane due to the extent of his injuries. His mother and sister flew immediately to Spokane. They will be staying there while he is in the hospital and when he moves to a rehabilitation hospital  for extensive and specialized spinal cord injury rehabilitation therapy. He sustained numerous serious injuries to his head, neck, spinal cord, nerve and muscle damage, right eye (cornea abrasion and scarring, very limited vision at this time), kidneys, lungs, and he has limited movement in the right side of his body. He may need future surgeries. We are looking at rehabilitation therapy for at least half a year.

We are hoping to raise $5000. The funds will be used to help his family with lodging, meals, transportation across the state as needed, and all the medical costs that his family incurs during this time.

His mother (Callie Conti) is a teacher in the Peninsula School District but will be on extended leave assisting in her son’s recovery and care. His sister is currently working toward a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and will want to be traveling as much as possible to see her brother and also assist in his care and recovery.

Thank you so much everyone! Petra and his family appreciate your support. They will try to keep everyone updated as much as possible on this long road that is ahead of them.
