The Pet Friendly House Project

Donation protected
Imagine what the World’s Most Pet Friendly House would look like!

My name is David Beart and I want to build the World’s Most Pet Friendly House to raise funds for a few great charities.

The Project:
This fun, media friendly project is not only meant to raise funds for charity, but show how we can live in harmony with the pets we love; this will be done by building a home with the “Whole Family” in mind - Pets included! From selecting pet friendly flooring, furniture and paint, to installing equipment to purify the air, the entire project will be documented through our website at the Pet Friendly House . After the home is completed it will be open to the media and public for 30 days, then sold. 100% of the profits from the sale of the home will be donated to 4 charities.

We are Making Great Progress

Already over 100 companies within the pet vertical from 10 countries have offered free products to help ensure this “Pet Friendly” house is extraordinary. On top of that, companies in the home vertical have offered free flooring, a furnace, a kitchen and other discounts which will ensure the cost of the home will be built well below market value.  We believe with all the discounts & free product, sponsorships and a silent auction at the end of the project, we can raise 100K+ for charity.

How Would Your Donation be Spent:
Though many manufactures and suppliers have offered free products or discounts on services, we need assistance in covering costs associated the mortgage, insurance, permits and promotion.  Your donation will be put towards these hard costs. By covering these costs, we can ensure the maximum amount possible will go to the charities.

Include your Pet in the Pet Friendly House
As we want to thank all those who are helping us create the World’s Most Pet Friendly House, anyone donating $20 or more can add a 4x6 picture of their pet to help wallpaper the garage. Our goal is to cover the walls with 2,000 images of our supporter’s pets from around the world.

In Closing:
As a kidney transplant recipient, I also hope to help create awareness of the global need for organ donors…as without donors, I would not be here today. I was given a second chance after recieving a transplant thanks to my sister and the transplant team at the Foothills Hospital here in Calgary.  I now I want to pay it forward by helping man’s best friend and a few organizations who help both pets and people get their second chances as well. If we can save some pets, or encourage someone to become an organ donor, this project will be a success.

 Thank you,
David Beart
