This is Pete, my Uncle, Uncle to my sisters, and Uncle to my cousins. He is also a brother to 3, Son to my grandfather, late grandmother, and a friend to many. As you can see from his beaming smile, he's always happy, and is always making others happy too.
But there's a problem with our beloved Pete, and that's that he has prostate cancer. Well, truth be told he's already had it once before, and now it's decided to pay him a return visit (cheers for that cancer!). We as a family are all worried about him of course, but in true Garratt family fashion, we like to focus not on speculating about how long he might have left, but rather on the positive fact his beer drinking, rugby loving self is still very much alive and kicking!
This is where you come in....
We want to raise some money so that we can send our Pete on some amazing experiences and adventures. He's a rugby fan (Leicester tigers of course), a music fan, and a beer fan. A fantastic combination of hobbies one would agree. But really we would like your help and support to make some of his dreams come true. Such as seeing some of his favourite bands like Justin Bieber, Michael Buble and Miley Cyrus (just kidding Pete!). In all seriousness he's a big classic rock fan so we'd like to do something cool with that. Heck, maybe get him some VIP backstage access! It would be nice to send him on a nice fishing trip as well, as he enjoyed it when my father took him last year. We would also like to get him some signed rugby merchandise as well if possible.
Basically there's lots we would like to do with him, and to make whatever time he does have with us, memorable and fun!
So I would like to invite you to maybe spare a little bit of dosh for Pete's fund, and I would also like to thank you myself and on behalf of the Garratt family for any contributions you make. Any monies left over from Pete's fund will also be donated to the Orchid cancer charity.

To go alongside with Pete's fund, I myself will be starting a campaign of awareness for prostate and other male cancers to raise money for Orchid. So If you are a youtube creator like myself, or just want to get involved then please read below!
#checkyournuggets challenge
The #checkyournuggets challenge is a simple but fun way to bring awareness to the penile cancer charity 'Orchid ' A charity that funds research into all types of male cancers and gives support to sufferers. Orchid provides a valuable service and will appreciate all the support they can get.
So what is the challenge all about?
It's simple. I will be launching the campaign on the 15/08/2018 at 5pm BST, which involves myself trying to eat 100 chicken nuggets Live on my youtube channel. Click the 'set reminder' button so you don't forget. Also, any superchat donations on the live stream will go 50/50 to Pete's fund, and Orchid.
I will then nominate 3 other creators to do the same. They will then take up the challenge, and again nominate 3 other creators and so on and so on. Each nugget is worth 10p, so for every nugget you manage to eat, you donate that amount to the Orchid charity (or however much you can afford) using the link provided below in the rules section. So if you eat 50, you donate £5.00, if you eat 75 you donate £7.50, you get the idea. Not a youtuber? It doesn't matter, you can still get involved by putting a video up on facebook, twitter, or you can badger your favourite youtubers to do the challenge using the hashtag #checkyournuggets and linking them to this page. There is always something you can do.
For creators & those that want to get involved
The rules are simple. I don't want to make this overly complicated as it's meant to be fun, and to raise money for Pete and for Orchid, so I've listed the basics below.
1. Film or live stream yourself attempting to eat 100 chicken nuggets (homemade or store bought) or a vegetarian alternative such as falafel, tofu, cauliflower nuggets, quorn? It's up to you. If you don't want to subject yourself to a bunch load of chicken nuggets, it doesn't matter, anything 'nugget like' is just fine. The main purpose is to raise money for Pete and Orchid.
2. Each nugget you eat is worth 10p, which is the amount you need to donate to Orchid (50 = £5.00, 78 = £7.80 etc). Or however much you can afford, it all helps
3. Use the hashtag #checkyournuggets in the description or title of your video

5. Link to this page www.gofundme.com/petesfunfund to help Pete's fund (this is optional as I completely understand if someone would rather donate to a charity than to someone they don't know)
