On December 19, 2014 we received the most exciting news a team of endurance athletes could receive! “We would like to inform you that after review, our technical board has accepted and approved your participation in the 2016, Return of the Patagonia Expedition race.”
Known as the "Race to the End of the World", the 10-day event challenges co-ed international teams of four athletes in the disciplines of trekking, sea kayaking, orienteering, and mountain biking. The race takes place on a different course each year, with competitors using a map and compass to navigate through previously unknown terrain. Due to its challenging nature, it is also known as "The Last Wild Race" and has been described as "The World’s toughest adventure race."
What do the USA Adventure Addicts bring to the Patagonia Expedition Race? Not just a group of great athletes with great skill sets, but a group of men and women dedicated to the three “C’s”, Character, Commitment and Cohesiveness. During their trek across Patagonia, these 4 people will meet challenges they have never faced, moments of despair and situations that will require them to dig deeper than they ever have before. They will need to rely on the team, and you, to get them through.
This is the challenge of all challenges. No all U.S.A Team has ever won the race. We're determined to fight with every fiber of our being to be the first. We have trained hard, made personal sacrifices. Our families have supported this journey and they too have made sacrifices. Now we need help.
Because we are a first time team we have been turned away at every door by sponsors. We must take on the costs of the great challenge on our own. We need your support to buy equipment, pay for travel and other expenses involved.
